POSITION: Junior Credit Analyst

REPORTS TO: SVP, Israeli Business

SUMMARY: Work in conjunction with Israeli Business team on presentation of credit proposals to New York Branch and Head Office Credit Committees. Monitor and review performance of outstanding credits. Inform New York Credit Committee of any changes in the underlying credit of borrowers. Perform administrative duties, as required, relating to operations of the Israeli Business Department.


Participate in the initial review of credits to decide which ones fit into branch parameters and will undergo further analysis.

Review and analyze credit and financial information using public information and company furnished financial statements, projections and business plans.

Determine need for additional information and contact appropriate resources.

Prepare spreadsheet reports and financial information as part of credit application process and portfolio monitoring.

Make recommendations based upon creditworthiness of borrower and terms of facility.

Liaise with Head Office analysts in regard to application sent to the International Credit Committee for approval.

Prepare and present credit applications to New York Regional Management and International Credit Committees. Attend Credit Committee meetings as required.

Monitor current files and inform New York Credit Committee of any developing or potential problems.

Maintain credit files by setting up new files and updating existing files.

Keep abreast of local and national economic, financial, political and legislative events and climates that could have an impact on lending activities.

Undertake special projects relating to Israeli Business department and loan portfolio administration as well as perform other duties as requested by Team Leader.

Attend bank meetings and conferences with corporate lending officers.


Fluent in Hebrew and English (strong in both verbal and writing skills).
Basic credit and financial analysis skills.
Comprehension of transactions, loan documentation and deal structure.

Specific knowledge of company mission statement, target markets, loan policies and credit standards.Credit and cash flow analysis skills, due diligence proficiency and attention to detail.


Experience Needed: Qualified candidate must have 2-3 years of banking experience.zEducation Required: Bachelor’s degree with concentration in Finance/Accounting/Economics required.
